Welcome to Sikhwithin Episode 5.

This week we have a special episode for Vaisakhi. Normally the programme is sectioned into five areas/segments: Meanings, Shabad translation, History of the Sikhs, a Story and some inspirational songs. This week we’ve rolled the first three segments into one.
We cover in the first part of the programme, the history of Vaisakhi, the 5 K’s of the Sikhs, what happens at the Gurdwara during this special day and recent developments for a dedicated Sikh calendar (see also: my posting from 11th April at: http://drsavi.blogspot.com )
